New Job

Upload the job's structural and architectural drawings plus calcs (PDF), CAD/BIM files, or both. Generating the BoM runs the extraction in the background (a few minutes). Drawings are processed then discarded — only the BoM and Quote are kept in your portfolio.

A complete pack gives the most accurate take-off — the engine reads best with all of these (checked against your file names as you add them):

Drag & drop the job's PDF drawing pack

PDF Structural drawings PDF Architectural plans PDF Calc packs

Drag & drop the job's CAD drawing pack

    or browse files

IFC BIM model RVT Revit model DWG DXF CAD drawings + SKP · STEP · CTB · PAT …

Use PDFs, CAD/BIM files, or both. IFC, DXF and DWG are read by the engine — machine-read member counts and callouts, and the drawings themselves rendered and read like PDF sheets (enough on their own for a CAD-only job). Other formats are stored to improve accuracy, not yet read.

Build a quote by hand — no drawings, no extraction. You get the same quote grid: add sections, then add products at catalogue prices or your own, plus labour and plant lines at your rates. Manual jobs are quote-only — no drawing take-off, so no Bill of Materials.

Manual jobs are quote-only — they have no drawing take-off, so their Bill of Materials is unavailable.

    Review upload

Check the drawing set before extraction runs. Each file is scan-checked as it lands: ✔ structural (drawings or calcs), ✔ architectural (plans, elevations, sections), ✘ not applicable (forms, statements — pre-ticked for exclusion). When documents span more than one engineer's package, the final package governs any element it shows (earlier packages still govern what it doesn't). Superseded revisions are excluded entirely.

Pack checklist — verified from the scanned pages:

Missing something? Add it here before generating — new files are scanned like the rest.

No architectural drawings found in this pack — the BoM and quote will cover the structural package only. To include walls, openings, finishes and coverings, add the proposed floor plans, elevations and roof plan with “Add more files” above.

      Bill of Materials

The exact take-off: documented members + standard inclusions, with call-off diagrams.

      Quote

Prices the BoM in purchasable units against the catalogue. Free to re-run — it never touches the BoM.

Columns printed on the quote PDF and Excel — the screen always shows everything. Saved instantly; applied when you export.

      Dimensions

The measured quantities the take-off is built on, and where each was read from. Correct any the drawings under-stated, then Recalculate — derived materials (insulation, blocks, battens, mortar…) re-compute to match. Counted members (beams, lintels, padstones) are never changed by this.

      Bill of Materials

The take-off exactly as scanned and resolved from the drawings — fixed per the drawing set. Linked parts sit under the + expander of their parent. Adjust quantities and rates in the Quote line items.

      Quote — line items

The quote as it prints — a flat list, one line per product: qty, purchasable unit, price per unit and line total. Read-only until you press Edit (it appears once the first quote is generated), which unlocks Qty, £/unit (your rate — it always wins on your own quote), per-line and whole-order uplift (% or £ margin), internal/external notes, add-product rows and section removal. Save changes saves every edit and re-prices the quote in one step — totals and PDF update automatically.

Edits saved — re-generate the quote to apply them to the totals and PDF.

      My Suppliers

Your own list of preferred merchants — private to your account. Quote lines and purchase orders will draw on this list, so every price can name the supplier it comes from.

or start from a national chain:

      New supplier

      Commercial terms (optional)

      days

      Products

The catalogue with your own supplier prices beside it. Pick a supplier to compare against — or set their price on any product; quotes then buy each line from your cheapest supplier automatically (override per line on the quote screen).

      Product Category
      Supplier Name
      Price

      Purchase

Purchase orders, one per supplier, built from your quotes — add lines with the basket on the quote screen, or start one here with New. A New PO stays editable; mark it Ordered when you place it with the merchant (its prices then feed your price history), then Closed when it's delivered.
